RESEARCH AND AWARENESS FOR RARE CHILDREN’S DISEASE IS FOCUS FOR INTEGRITY

Consulting Firm is Feature Sponsor for Local Lacrosse Team Raising Funds for Fanconi Anemia


Frederick, Md., December 1, 2009 – Integrity Consulting today announced its participation as a feature sponsor for Brunswick Lacrosse, a locally based Frederick team raising money towards finding a cure for Fanconi Anemia (FA).  The Brunswick Lacrosse team will be dedicating their season to four-year-old Wyatt Klimkiwitz, calling themselves Wyatt’s Warriors as he battles the disease.

Integrity is not only sponsoring the team, but is helping to raise awareness of this rare blood disorder by asking others to support, using this women’s lacrosse team as a catalyst. A fun and challenging program has been set up to raise research funds. Donors are being asked to donate one dollar per goal scored over the course of the season.

“Most people haven’t heard about FA unless they know someone who has it,” said Patrick Wheeler, CEO/Managing Principal, Integrity. “This cause is very close to me personally, and I am honored to have Integrity play such a vital role in raising money and awareness for this deadly disease.”

In an effort to give back to its surrounding community and help a worthy cause, Integrity is honored to be a feature sponsor to raise research money for this cause. FA is a rare, recessive, genetic immune system disorder that leads to bone marrow failure (aplastic anemia). FA usually reveals itself in children before age 12. It is primarily considered a blood disease, but can affect all systems of the body. People with FA often develop leukemia and other cancers.
